Sunderland goalkeeper Max Stryjek has joined Accrington Stanley on a season long loan deal.
After churning out some impressive performances during pre-season, Stryjek has become highly rated at the Stadium of Light and has been touted as a future first choice goalkeeper for the club.
He would have been unlikely to have received many first team opportunities this season given that Jason Steele and Robbin Ruiter are above him in the clubs pecking order.
This will however be a good opportunity for the youngster to get more first team experience under his belt and grow as a player.
It appears that Stryjek is excited about the challenges of League 2 football with Stanley and said, “This is my first opportunity to be around the first team of a League Two football club and I’m looking forward to it.
“It’s going to be a great experience for me to come here and I can’t wait to meet the lads and everybody here at Accrington.
“I’m expecting a huge challenge, it’s going to be faster and more physical and I’ve got to make sure that I’m ready for that.”
