Everton boss Ronald Koeman hailed by his new signing

Everton defender Michael Keane has revealed that he is growing positively as a player under the guidance of manager Ronald Koeman. Keane joined the Toffees this summer following impressive performances for Burnley last season in a £30million deal.

Since arriving at Goodison Park, Keane has continued his good form and was particularly impressive during his club’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

Now speaking about life at his new club, Keane hailed Koeman saying, “At Burnley it was all about defending, which I loved, and I improved a lot when I was there but it’s just a different style of play.

“You’ve still got to do that at Everton, it’s the basics of being a defender, but also have to play out from the back a bit more.

“Ronald is trying to bring that out of my game and develop me in that sense. He was more of a ball player and scored a lot of goals.”

Keane will be hoping to carry on playing well and try and win a place in the England squad for the 2018 World Cup and he is certainly an exciting prospect, who will continue to develop. Everton fans can certainly look forward to some solid performances from him throughout the season.
