West Ham reportedly set to be rivaled by French giants for prolific striker

According to reports, French club Marseille could be set to rival West Ham in the race to sign Celtic sensation Moussa Dembele.

Dembele was on good form last season as he went on to strike 17 goals in the Scottish Premiership and help his club win an unbeaten domestic treble.

As a result of his goal scoring ability, the youngster has also attracted the interest of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Marseille are in need of new strikers and could be set to make additions to their side before deadline day after being thrashed 6-1 during the weekend. However, they have not made signing Dembele a priority due to his huge price.

Dembele is also said to be liked by West Ham who are on poor form, having lost all three of their Premier League games thus far and failing to score a point.

Though Dembele may remain with the Hoops for this season, it is hard to see him remaining at the club for the long-term.
