Leeds United have signed Pierre-Michel Lasogga, who has been a member of Bundesliga side Hamburg, on a one-year loan.
According to the Yorkshire Post, the Peacocks had been following Lasogga for quite some time but the biggest problem for the transfer was the extremely high salary of the player.
The German player was reported to have a £50,000-per-week wages at Hamburg, which is significantly higher than what Chris Woods used to earn.
However with Wood now gone, Leeds have money to spend and they have now agreed to match Lasogga’s wages and the player has joined Leeds on a loan deal.
Lasogga had been a member of Hamburger since 2013, and during that span, he played 116 games and had scored 39 goals.
The Peacocks have now signed valuable player, who is certainly going to make a difference on the pitch.
