According to reports, Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic is open to joining Liverpool.
It has been said that the Reds may be set to make a move on Kovacic especially considering that they may need reinforcements in midfield if Philippe Coutinho ends up joining Barcelona.
Though the Croatian international Kovacic ideally wants to remain with Madrid, he is reportedly reconsidering his future after failing to win himself regular playing time after two years with Madrid.
He is also said to be willing to work with Jurgen Klopp and the Merseyside club are prepared to double his current wages.
Considering that Kovacic does not play a key role for Madrid and also considering that Liverpool are not direct rivals to the Spanish giants, there is a high chance Madrid will be open to listening to offers for the player if the offer is right. It however remains to be seen if a deal will materialize.
