Liverpool reportedly make inquiry for £55million-rated attacker

According to reports, Liverpool have made an inquiry with Monaco with regards to signing Thomas Lemar, who is believed to be valued at around £55 million. The inquiry is said to have been made earlier on in the summer and remains active.

Lemar was impressive last season as he played a role in helping Monaco win the French Ligue 1 and reach the semi – finals of the Champions League last season.

The Merseyside club also received a boost in their hopes of signing  the player this week after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted that his club are no longer in the running to sign the player by declaring that a potential deal is “dead”.

Furthermore, Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim has admitted that Lemar could be soon sold by saying recently, “Fabinho, Lemar, Kylian, we’re talking about them joining other clubs, but they stay focused. All the players who were important last season are important to keep for the club.

“But it has been shown over the years that it’s not always possible to keep the players, and you know how our project works.”
