Everton boss Ronald Koeman has revealed that he would be open to signing Chelsea striker Diego Costa on loan.
Costa is surplus to requirements at Chelsea after falling out of favor with manager Antonio Conte and is unlikely to ever play for the club again.
He is now hoping to move back to former club Atletico Madrid, though the Spanish club’s transfer ban means that the earliest time at which they can sign him is during January.
Meanwhile, Everton boss Koeman is still looking to add another striker to his squad, especially considering that Sandro, who he signed this summer lacks experience at the highest level and is untested in England, and has hinted at a move for Costa again.
Whilst talking about Costa, the Dutchman Koeman said, “I said always (there is) a warm welcome for every good player and he’s a good player.”
Costa could certainly fit the Toffees as he has a penchant for scoring a lot of goals but Chelsea look unlikely to let him leave for Goodison Park.
