Liverpool boss expects Sadio Mane to improve

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has praised Sadio Mane but warned the Senegal international that he still has a lot to learn. Mane scored the only goal of the game during the Reds 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Even though Mane was not at his best during the game, he managed to ensure that the Reds walked away with three points against a resilient Palace team.

After being brought to the Merseyside club last summer, Mane has gone on to establish himself as one of the most important players within the squad.

Though Klopp feels that the 25-year-old Mane is an important player for his squad, the German also believes that the player has to learn a lot, saying, “The biggest thing the team did last year was getting fourth without Sadio for pretty much half a year, I wasn’t sure how long it was exactly but it was long.

“He’s made a big step but as you can imagine I’m not too happy about singing the big song about a player that early in the season.

“But he is important, everybody can see now he can change a game, that’s cool. Sadio can learn so much still, that’s really good.”
