According to reports, Leeds United have made an inquiry with Aston Villa over signing striker Ross McCormack. Sunderland have been strongly linked with signing the 30-year-old over recent weeks though a deal has yet to be agreed.
Leeds are looking to sign a new striker after sending Marcus Antonsson on loan to Blackburn Rovers while Chris Wood’s future is currently the subject of speculation as Premier League clubs are keen on signing him.
McCormack is one of the Championships most experienced strikers in the Championship and will be familiar with the Whites having left them to join Fulham three years ago. During his time at Elland Road, the Scotland international scored 58 goals from 157 games.
McComack struggled for form last season and may be tempted by a move to Thomas Christiansan’s side especially as it is the club which his young son is said to support.
