Southampton lands former WBA goalkeeper at St. Mary’s

Southampton has landed a very promising player today.

Somerset live reports that the goalkeeper Jack Rose has agreed to the terms and signed one-year-deal with the club from St. Mary’s.

During the preseason, the 22-year-old was on trial at Yeovil Town, but eventually, he did not convince the management of that club to keep him but has now been picked up by Southampon.

Rose has been a part of West Brom Albion Youth Academy since 2005 and in 2014 he signed a first professional contract with the Baggies, but he never debuted for the first team. He was sent on loan to Accrington Stanley and Crawley Town before his release during the previous summer.

After his signing, the talented goalkeeper has stated that Southampton is a club with a tremendous reputation and that many young players have the opportunity to show their skills here.

He hopes to revive his career and to become the regular member of the first team in the upcoming years.
