Sunderland boss Simon Grayson has revealed that his team’s strong start to the Championship season can help his club to keep its star players, though he did admit that he expects enquiries to arrive before the end of the transfer window.
The Black Cats recorded a 3-1 victory over Norwich City on Sunday. Lamine Kone, who has been widely linked with a move away from the club this summer, was brilliant during the match.
Kone is the most likely player to leave and there is a strong chance that he will end up departing given that he has been linked with Premier League outfits such as West Brom.
Grayson said about the situation, “I have had no problems with any of the player’s attitudes from day one of coming into this football club.
“I am aware, like any other manager, that you can still lose players before the window shuts and that is part and parcel of it.”
