24-year-old reportedly set for talks with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp over transfer

According to reports, Danny Ward is set to engage in talks with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after not being named in the Reds squad that drew 3-3 with Watford on Saturday.

The 24-year-old Ward spent last season on loan with Huddersfield and played a crucial role in helping the club win promotion to the Premier League.

He is a hero to many fans of the Terriers are making penalty saves during the promotion playoff semi-finals and final.

He will certainly not be happy to sit on the bench and Huddersfield boss David Wagner is said to be still interested in taking him back.

Though Ward did play in the Reds pre-season matches, he is currently third choice shot-stopper at the club and sits below Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius in the club’s pecking order.

Klopp is said to be friends with Wagner and this could make another loan deal possible.
