Sunderland have been linked with a move for Utrecht winger Yassine Ayoub, who could be set to leave his club cheaply this summer.

Black Cats boss Simon Grayson is looking for new options to bolster his attack this season and is said to be exploring the possibility of signing Ayoub.

Due to the Black Cats financial constraints, they have to sell players before they can buy. As Ayoub has just twelve months remaining on his current contract, he could be bought cheaply for a figure of up to £5 million.

he Morocco international Ayoub played 40 games for Utrecht in all competitions last season and helped the team qualify for the Europa League.

The 23-year-old is said to also be keen on playing in England and this is the reason why he has decided against extending his contract. Sunderland could also still end up selling Lamine Kone and Whabi Khazri which will provide them with more funds to bolster their squad.
