Tottenham reportedly to be raided by Bundesliga giants with £50million bid

As per The Sun, Bayern Munich are willing to test Tottenham’s resolve by offering £50million for the services of midfielder Eric Dier.

The England international was targeted by Manchester United earlier on, but Spurs held their ground and onto their prized player.

However, Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti believes his club have a chance of doing what United couldn’t, and that Dier would be keen to join his star-studded squad.

Having sold Kyle Walker earlier on, it’s unlikely that Tottenham would allow another vital member of their team leave.

Notwithstanding, Bayern’s offer could prove too much of a temptation, and the player’s final say could be a factor too.

Dier, 23, has established himself as one of the most important players under boss Mauricio Pochettino since he arrived from Sporting Lisbon in 2014.

He is the most versatile midfielder within the Argentine ranks as he has featured in right-back, centre defence and deep midfield.

Letting such a rare utility player with exceptional quality go will definitely be a huge blow to Spurs’ ambitions.

A move to the Allianz Arena for Eric Dier this summer looks far beyond the realm of possibility.
