Tottenham were dealt a scare after the clubs first choice right back Kieran Trippier was forced to limp off during the club’s pre-season match against Juventus this weekend.
This will come as a huge blow as Trippier is likely to be a key player for the Lillywhites during the upcoming season following the departure of Kyle Walker to Manchester City.
Currently the cover for Trippier is the inexperienced Kyle Walker-Peters and ideally the club will not want to use him in key games.
Spurs will certainly be hoping that the injury to Trippier will not be serious. The England international went on to provide an assist for Harry Kane’s goal to open the scoring while Christian Eriksen scored a second to secure an impressive 2-0 win over the Italian Champions recently.
Spurs will be looking to win major trophies next season and it remains to be seen who their signings will be as they have yet to bring in a new face to North London so far this summer.
