Attacker says he is happy to leave Rangers; Backs new manager to get him back to form

Michael O’Halloran, who is on loan at St. Johnstone, from Rangers is happy about his return to McDiarmid Park, according to a BBC report. He had been at Ibrox for eighteen months, since his £500,000 switch to Rangers in early 2016.

The Scottish forward has had a dismal time at Ibrox after he fell out of favour with Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha, which has made him accept the loan offer readily.

Although his 3 goals had helped Rangers capture the Championship title two years ago, he was struggling all throughout his 24 appearances in the last season, which is probably why he has been on loan back to The Saints.

Now O’Halloran maintains that new manager Tommy Wright will ideal for recovering his lost form. O’Halloran, 26, has said that Wright is capable of bringing out his best playing form and that he trusts the manager fully.

He said: “I came here a few years ago from Bolton and at the time it felt right when I spoke to the manager and again it feels right.

“He knows me as a person and how to get the best out of me as a player and I trust him and I think he trusts me, which is important. He knows when I need a kick up the backside or an arm round the shoulder, he knows me better than any manager.

“You also see how he is with the boys, it is such a tight group, a family club and we work hard for each other. The manager, the staff and the boys were a big part in coming back and I am just looking forward to it.”

O’Halloran will be with St Johnstone FC until January.
