29-year-old Javier Hernandez signed for West Ham United for £16million from Bayer Leverkusen earlier this week.
The striker is well prepared to restart his career in England for the second spell, having played for Manchester United previously and he was pleased with the positive comments that he recieved from his former club.
Speaking about the comments from Mourinho, Hernandez said, “I say thank you to Mourinho and all the people around Man United that speak about myself and my qualities.”
Hernandez scored 59 goals in 157 appearances for Manchester United before moving away from Old Trafford in 2015. The Mexican International scored 14 goals and assisted 3 times in his 41 games last season for the German team.
Bilic has been clear in his demands this transfer window as he has targeted forwards with finishing abilities this season in Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic.
Chicharito’s comments were a reply to praise that he got from Mourinho who had said, “I would always welcome him in my squad because he doesn’t need many minutes on the pitch to score, but we move in another direction in a younger player in Lukaku and we have Rashford who can be a striker, so we didn’t feel that need.”
