Everton reportedly target another goalkeeper; Giants also interested

As reported by The Sun, Everton are in the race to land highly-rated Bolton goalie Jake Turner, but they face very stiff competition from Manchester United for his signature.

The 18-year-old shot stopper is yet to make his first team bow for the Championship outfit, but has been greatly tipped to turn out very successful in goal in the nearest future.

Bolton won’t hesitate to let Turner go if a sizable offer is brought to the negotiation table, and they would only sell to the highest bidder.

If Everton come up top in the pursuit of the England youth international, it can be expected he follows in the footsteps of Jordan Pickford, who also caught the eyes at a very young age.

In recent seasons, Everton have experienced a surge in young talents coming up through their ranks, and have made quality recruitments to their under-23’s as they continue planning towards the future.

Turner is a potential Three Lions first choice goalie few years from now, and could even serve as third-choice option at Everton next term.

With Bolton in need of some cash to aid their campaign ambitions, selling the youngster is an option, but Everton would have to beat Manchester United to this one.
