Leeds United complete another promising signing

According to BBC, Matthew Pennington, the versatile Everton defender, will spend the upcoming year as a loaned player at Leeds United.

The 22-year-old completed the deal on Wednesday, and he will join the Peacocks imminently.

Pennington can play as a central defender or as the right back, and he will present a valuable acquisition to the Leeds United defense, which has been lacking depth lately.

The player has made nine appearances for the Toffees last season, but he couldn’t earn a regular spot in the first team. He is a product of Everton’s Youth Academy, and since 2013, this will be his fourth loan.

Prior to Leeds United, Pennington played with Tranmere Rovers, Coventry City, and Walsall.

In April of this year, Pennington garnered a lot of attention, as he scored in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool.
