Liverpool are closing in on signing Hull City left back Andrew Robertson after being linked with a move for the 23-year-old since the start of the transfer season, according to the Daily Mail.
Despite interest from several clubs in the Premiership including Newcastle United, Burnley, Watford and West Ham, Robertson is relishing the chance to play under Klopp following Hull City’s relegation from the Premier League.
A deal worth £8 million is believed to have been agreed upon by both clubs as Klopp looks to reinforce his defense after poor displays in the back cost the Reds several points throughout last season.
Alberto Moreno will make way for incoming Robertson as the Spanish national has already been the subject of bids by Swansea and Napoli but no agreement has been made by Liverpool yet.
The arrival of the Scottish national also means Klopp has a natural left back, which may see makeshift full back David Milner be deployed higher up the pitch when required next season.
