Rangers reportedly keen on signing midfielder from English Premier League side

According to reports, Rangers are interested in signing Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury.

The 19-year-old Choudhury spent the last two seasons on loan with Burton Albion and he helped the club win promotion to the Championship two years ago as well as made 28 appearances in all competitions for the Championship team last year.

Choudhury is a product of the Leicester youth development system but he has yet to play for the senior side as it is believed that he still needs to develop.

It is now believed that the youngster needs to step up a level in order to continue his development and could be going out on loan to a division higher than the Championship, with Rangers providing a great opportunity.

While English clubs are reported to be interested in Choudhury, Rangers are hoping that a move to Scotland could be enticing for the youngster.

The Gers have bolstered their midfield this summer after recruiting Carlos Pena, Graham Dorrans and Ryan Jack and the addition of Choudhury to the squad will further add extra quality for the upcoming season.
