According to reports, Jacob Murphy is ready to inform Norwich City that he is ready to leave the club in order to join Newcastle United.
Magpies boss Rafa Benitez is confident of bringing the 22-year-old Murphy to St James Park ahead of next season despite seeing an £8 million bid rejected last week.
According to reliable journalist Lee Ryder, the player has alreadt informed his agent that he wishes to leave the Canaries and link up with Benitez’s squad ahead of next season.
The Canaries are however demanding £16 million for Murphy, who signed a new four-and-a-half year deal with the club six months ago, while the Magpies are only willing to pay £10 million – with the full fee being guaranteed up front.
Murphy was one of Norwich’s best players last season and also starred during the European under-21 Championships with England. He will be hoping to join Newcastle in order to play in the Premier League.
