Liverpool reportedly contemplating breaking their transfer record again

After acquiring Mohammed Salah’s services from Roma for £39million, Liverpool are ready next to move on a deal for Naby Keita, but RB Leipzig’s £70million asking price for the midfielder is challenging the Reds according to the Independent.

Keita has had a fantastic season with RB Leipzig, firing them to second place in the Bundesliga, securing a spot in the Champions League next season.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be a huge admirer of the Guinean international’s talents and wants the 22-year-old in the center of his plans to dominate and secure a title challenge next season.

Keita is noted to be open to other options but won’t force RB Leipzig’s hand in selling him, as he closely monitors another Leipzig star, Emil Forsberg’s, possible departure from the club.

Leipzig’s strong financial position gives ample degrees of freedom to management to hold rather than sell its best players as the club look to advance championship ambitions going into next season.

The resolve of all parties will be tested as Leipzig will be adamant to see key players leave only if they render significantly superior monetary gains, and The Reds might have to break their own transfer record yet again to see Jurgen get his man.
