Star defender praises new West Ham United signing

West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell has revealed that he feels that the experience and quality of new Hammers recruit Pablo Zabaleta will be beneficial to the East London side.

Zabaleta is set to officially join Slaven Bilic’s side this Sunday following a successful nine year spell with Manchester City, during which he won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup as well as two League Cups.

At 32 years of age, Zabaleta still has the qualities required to succeed at the highest level. The Argentine will bring in much needed experience and reliability to the Hammers defence. In addition to this, he will also serve as a mentor to up and coming players in the side.

Cresswell was full of praise for his new teammate and said, “Watching him throughout his time with Manchester City, which was nearly a decade, the things Pablo Zabaleta did for that club were fantastic, winning Premier League titles cups and the like.

“He will now bring those qualities, his loyalty and experience to West Ham and his presence will only help us, not only his fellow defenders but the whole team.”
