Arsenal reportedly set to receive club record bid from West Ham

Giroud

According to reports, West Ham are prepared to break their club transfer record in order to lure Olivier Giroud from Arsenal.

Giroud fell down the pecking order at Arsenal this past season and may look to join a new club in order to play more regularly and to try and win a place in the France squad for the 2018 World Cup.

There is a good chance that Giroud will leave the Gunners this summer especially given that Alexandre Lacazette is set to arrive at the club, which will likely see Giroud’s chances of gaining regular first team play become slimmer.

Reports have suggested that the Hammers are willing to pay £20 million for the services of Giroud as well as pay his weekly wages of £120,000.

The Hammers struggled to do well in front of goal and will need new quality strikers. Giroud will be a good choice seeing that he has had the experience of scoring many goals at the highest level.
