Report: Monterrey Goalkeeper on a possible transfer to Argentina

Monterrey made one of the most peculiar signings this off season by signing the Argentinian goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo from Inter Milan. The move was a strange one because Antonio Mohamed already counted with two top quality keepers at Monterrey in Alexander Dominguez and Hugo Gonzalez.

Alexander Dominguez spent most of the Clausura 2017 campaign on the bench only playing in two games throughout the tournament. The Ecuadorian keeper is unlikely to receive any playing time with Carrizo and Gonzalez both on the team and a move to South America does seem likely. The Argentine side, Racing Club de Avellaneda, are currently looking for a new goalie as Agustin Orion has made a move to the Chilean club, Colo-Colo.

According to the Argentine journalist, Juan Pablo Varsky, Racing Club is interested in the services of Alexander Dominguez. The move would be a positive one both for Dominguez and the Argentine side who will need a formidable goalkeeper next season. Racing Club does still have a chance to make the Copa Libertadores next season and an experienced goalkeeper like Dominguez would be a huge addition to the team.
