As sources close to TalkSport find out, Angelo Ogbonna could be leaving the London Stadium during the summer as Sampdoria are keen on signing the defender.

The 29-year-old Italian joined the Hammers from Juventus in 2015, and he was expected to become one of the pillars of West Ham’s defense. However, a knee injury prevented him from playing a significant role in Bilic’s team during the previous season.

Over the course of his stay in London, Ogbonna managed to collect 65 appearances so far, and he has a contract with the Hummers until 2019.

But, reports are saying that Sampdoria are keen on signing the powerful defender, who already has bags of experience playing in the Serie A. They are in urgent need of reinforcements in their back line, but it remains to be seen if Slaven Bilic is willing to offload Ogbonna during this transfer window.
