Liverpool have revived interest in Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski with a £25 million bid after missing out on the player last summer, according to Italian newspaper II Mattino, reports The Mirror.
The 23-year-old former Udinese midfielder had spent two years on loan at Empoli before preferring the move to the Stadio San Paolo over Anfield. He later admitted that he held talks with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp but favored to stay in Italy.
A fantastic debut season at the Naples has seen Liverpool revive their interest as well as attract the attention of Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.
It is believed that Tottenham have bid a similar amount to that offered by the Reds, as they are also looking to bolster their options for next season amid reports of Barcelona monitoring Christain Eriksen.
However, Napoli, have remained staunch rejecting any bids made, and will not devalue the players £60 million buyout clause as they are unwilling to see the Polish international leave easily, which might dissuade any interested teams to make improved bids.
