Mexican international Eduardo Herrera was reportedly seen in Glasgow amid speculation that he will sign for Scottish Premier League club Rangers in a deal worth £1.5 million.
Herrera flew in from Cardiff after having attended Saturday nights Champions League final during which Real Madrid defeated Juventus 4-1.
Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha is said to be fan of the 28-year-old Herrera, with the player shining under him while he served as manager of Santa Laguna.
Herrera was also in impressive form during his stay with Veracruz so much so that he earned himself a call-up to the Mexico national team for whom he has scored three goals from eight matches.
Caixinha will certainly hope that Herrera can be among the goals for the Gers next season and he looks to once again make the side a major force within Scottish football.
Caixinha said of Herrera, “He was a player who contributed a lot at the time at Santos. He’s improved every year and is now a complete striker. He’s Mexican, he’s very professional and he scores goals. He was a great player for me.”
