Club legend says impending signing would be ‘massive’ for West Ham

Trevor Sinclair has revealed that West Ham could be about to make a major signing by adding Kelechi Iheanacho to their squad.

Iheanacho struggled for first team football with Manchester City this past season and may look elsewhere in order to play at the highest level on a more regular basis.

During the 2015-16 season, the Nigerian international hit 14 goals from 35 appearances, which led many to believe that he could be a future superstar.

However he fell behind Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus in the City pecking order this past season, struggling for game time in the process.

A representative of the striker admitted last week that the young striker is likely to join West Ham as he looks to extend his stay in the Premier League.

West Ham are keen to bring new forwards to their squad after inconsistency from Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho this past season.
