Legend says this man can be Tottenham’s ‘Francesco Totti’

Harry Kane

Whilst praising AS Roma club legend Francesco Totti who retired from the game this weekend, former Tottenham defender Graham Roberts has also hailed Harry Kane by stating that the forward could become Spurs own version of Totti.

Totti, who was part of the 2006 Italy World Cup winning squad bade an emotional farewell to the game this weekend after spending the entire 25 seasons of his career with Roma.

Totti is a rare type of player in that he rejected the advances of many elite clubs of world football, among them Real Madrid in order to remain with Roma.

It remains to be seen whether Kane will go on to play for Spurs for his entire career. Due to the 23-year-old’s rise in prominence over the past two seasons he will surely attract the interest of elite clubs.

That said, he is a product of the North London clubs youth academy and may wish to spend his entire career with the Lilywhites.
