Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has said that Kieran Trippier will be a suitable replacement should Mauricio Pochettino decide to sell Kyle Walker during the summer.
Manchester City have been linked with a move for Walker as they look to bolster their defence during the summer and according to Lampard, a sale could take place.
“I’m a big Kyle walker fan but to be fair to Trippier, his delivery is probably better. If Pochettino feels Walker is looking elsewhere he may be looking to the future.”, said Lampard.
Walker has seemingly dropped down the ranks at Tottenham during recent weeks after being dropped to the bench for Spurs match against Arsenal on Sunday and also being left out of the side that lost to Chelsea in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
The England international, who earns £65,000 a week, is set to discuss his future with the club at the end of the season.
