According to reports, Arsenal are plotting a possible move for Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
Despite it being uncertain as to whether Arsene Wenger will be managing the London giants next season, the Frenchman has reportedly begun eyeing players he would like to have in the squad next season.
After unimpressive performances this season, Wenger is looking to add in much needed stability to the squad and is looking at Gueye, who many have compared with Chelsea star N’Golo Kante.
The 27-year-old was impressive for Aston Villa last season. Though the club were eventually relegated, his form earned him a £9 million move to Everton.
Everton will not want to lose Gueye, who has played well this season and with Farhad Moshiri’s financial backing, they will stand a better chance of retaining key players.
However this will not deter the interest of Arsenal as well as Manchester United, who are also reported to be keeping tabs on the player.
