Tottenham youngster hopeful for next season

Luke Amos has claimed that his current loan spell with Southend United will eventually help him to win a place in the Tottenham first team.

The 20 year old was sent out on loan to the League one club in January and made his debut earlier this month, during a victory over Walsall.

Amos is happy with the progress he has made during the loan spell thus far and feels that it will help him to achieve his ultimate goal of eventually breaking into the Spurs senior team.

The youngster told the Tottenham website, “It’s definitely a step forward to come here. The next step is obviously to play more games and long-term, the dream is to play in the first team at Spurs”.

Southend are currently in sixth position on the Championship standings and Amos could find himself being part of a Shrimpers squad that is promoted to the Championship, should the club succeed in it aim to play in the English second tier.
