Liverpool reportedly keen on signing prolific Italian attacker

Having seen the success that Manolo Gabbiadini has had for Southampton so far, Liverpool are set to be interested in signing one of the men that helped confine him to the bench. The Reds are linked with Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne, according to the Daily Star.

Insigne is 25 years old, and he’s had a good season in Naples with 12 goals and seven assists in Serie A alone. He has helped his side push on toward a possible second place finish in the league behind Juventus, but is said to be sought after by a number of clubs.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are said to be looking into signing the man, however, it’s said that Arsenal and manager (maybe?) Arsene Wenger are also looking to overtake their rivals for the signature of the Italian.

This would be a fantastic signing for Klopp, but it’s one of those that seem to always go against Liverpool. Time after time they are linked with a player like this, but all too often it slips away. With such a large price tag, it’s likely that the Reds have to cede to others in this chase.
