Report: Watford to sign England international at the end of the season

Watford are reportedly looking to make Tom Cleverley’s loan deal permanent, according to reports from the Harrow Times.

The 27-year-old has made a decent side to life at Vicarage Road, notching two assists in six Premier League matches since embarking on his second stint with the Hornets in January.

Cleverley revealed that he had “jumped at the chance” to rejoin Watford and he will have had happy memories at the Vicarage Road, having won the club’s player of the year award during the 2009/10 season.

He has impressed manager Walter Mazzarri with his ability to provide support to Troy Deeney in creating chances and also with his proficiency to operate in a deeper role, where he has played in the last few weeks.

There is a strong chance that this move will be made permanent during the summer. It is very difficult to see Cleverley ever returning to Everton on a full time basis due to the players they currently have.
