Nabil Bentaleb has thanked everyone at Tottenham Hotspur on twitter after securing a permanent move from the North London club to Schalke for around £16million.
Bentaleb came up the rank at Spurs but was not included as part of the clubs future plans by Mauricio Pochettino last season.
The Algerian international was initially sent out on loan to the German club at the beginning of the season and displayed some impressive form to convince them that he should be signed on a permanent basis.
Many Spurs fans will be happy to see Bentaleb no longer on the clubs books. He took a swipe at supporters of the club last year claiming that they only seem to be supporting the club when it is winning.
This is definitely the best move for Bentaleb. Spurs currently have Victor Wanyama, Mousa Dembele, Harry Winks and Eric Dier all competing for places in midfield and if he had come back, he definitely would have struggled to gain game time.
