The Evening Standard has claimed that Chelsea will once again target Celtic keeper Craig Gordon during the summer though Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers has appeared to rubbish the claims.
The English Premiership giants have apparently made Gordon a priority target as they look to find a credible replacement for Asmir Begovic, who wants to move away due to a lack of first team opportunities.
The London club made two bids believed to be in the region of £3-4 million for the shot stopper during the January transfer window, however the Scottish club rejected all offers due to the 34-year-old being an important member of the squad.
Should Celtic wish to secure the services of Gordon, they will have to get him to sign a contract renewal soon. According to Brendan Rodgers, contract talks remain ongoing.
The experience of Gordon who made 88 League appearances for Sunderland in the Premiership between 2007-2012 will surely keep appealing to Chelsea though.
