Tottenham man hands himself ultimatum

Tottenham Hotspur’s Vincent Janssen, who has so far failed to establish himself as a regular in the club’s first team, has confirmed that he has given himself ‘12 months to succeed in the Premier League’.

The Dutchmen earned himself a move to Spurs last summer after bagging an impressive 27 goals in the Dutch Eredivisie last season with former club AZ.

He has however yet to impress at Spurs and not included in the squad that played against Gent in the Europa League on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old is confident that he boasts the capabilities required to become a top player in the Premier League and is giving himself 12 months to achieve the goal.

“I have given myself 12 months to succeed in the Premier League with Tottenham and those 12 months are not over yet,” Janssen told De Telegraaf. “The level is really high here. Up until last week we were second in the league.”
