Everton star Yannick Bolasie provides update regarding his injury status

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie is remaining confident ahead of a second operation on his injured knee.

The 27 year old has been out of action since damaging his ACL tendon and medical meniscus in his right knee during Everton’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United on December 4th.

The Merseyside clubs manager Ronald Koeman admitted shortly after the game that Bolasie, who was signed for £28 million during the summer, may only return to action in 2018.

The news certainly came as a huge blow to Evertonians as Bolasie was likely to play a massive role for the club as they aim to challenge for a place in the top six.

The Congolese international however has chosen to remain positive saying, “Right now I’m preparing my leg to be in the best condition it can be for the second operation.

“I’m starting to see the light a little bit. The first four to six weeks were really boring as I couldn’t even put my leg on the floor and had to keep my right leg up at all times.”
