Leeds Utd boss Garry Monk has been linked with a shock move to Scotland giants Rangers.
Rangers are currently without a manager following the departure of Mark Warburton last week, and Daily Mail claims that Rangers have identified Monk as a potential replacement.
Monk took charge of the Whites on a one-year rolling contract in the summer, and he has guided them to the playoff spots. Currently, they sit fifth in the league table and are hopeful of clinching promotion to Premier League at the end of the season.
After years of mediocrity, Leeds finally seemed to be moving in the right direction, and Monk’s departure could deliver a severe blow to their ambitions.
Meanwhile, Warburton left his job at Rangers amid rumours that he is poised to take over Championship side Nottingham Forest.
The report also mentions former Birmingham boss Gary Rowett as another potential candidate for the job at Ibrox.
