West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing AS Roma target Pablo Zabaleta according to Calciomercato.
He was reportedly very close to joining the Italian club during the summer, however the transfer stalled after Manchester City failed to lure a replacement.
Zabaleta’s contract with Manchester City expires at the end of the season and he is widely expected to leave the English giants.
With Roma having already sign Bruno Peres, they may not be keen on luring him anymore which according to the Daily Mail has led to West Ham becoming interested in the 31-year-old.
Slaven Bilic is monitoring City veterans Bacary Sagna and Zabaleta and is planning contract offers for the duo unless they renew their contracts with the Blues.
The Hammers will definitely be an attractive club for the defensive duo to join as any prospective move will allow them the opportunity to carry on competing against the very best in the Premier League.
