Koeman happy with his Everton squad

Everton manager Ronald Koeman is reported to be happy with his current squad and is confident of the club finishing in a good position at the end of the season according to Sky Sports.

Everton play against Bournemouth on Saturday having been unbeaten in their last six Premier League matches. Koeman is also happy with the selection dilemmas which he now faces.

Morgan Schneiderlin, Ademola Lookman and Idrissa Gana Gueye who just arrived back from the African Cup of Nations are all set to compete for places in the midfield.

Koeman said, “We have a really small squad but enough numbers to compete. All have the opportunities to play, start or be on the bench. That is good for the team that everyone is involved.”

A similar situation also occurred in the goalkeeping department, where the performances of Joe Robles was so impressive that it was good enough to usurp the tried and tested Maarten Stekelenburg as first choice goalkeeper.
