Eric Lamela has rubbished reports linking him with a move back to Roma and took to Instagram to respond to reports linking him with a move away from White Hart Lane.
The Argentinian has not played for Spurs since their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool during the EFL Cup quarter finals in late October.
Thus far during the 2016-17 season, he has recorded three assists from his 14 appearances across all competitions. Since the EFL clash, hip injuries have hampered Lamela.
The Daily Express reported on Tuesday that Lamela had been hoping to return to Roma after he was spotted in the capital of Italy earlier this month.
However Lamela took to Instagram to respond to the rumors and made it clear that he was in Rome for recovery purposes. He wrote, “Just to be clear, I am in Rome at the moment recovering for an injury and not for any other thing that is not to do with football”
