Tottenham maintain their interest in signing 19-year-old striker from France

Tottenham have retained interest in signing PSG’s 19-year-old striker Jean-Kevin Augustin and are hopeful of signing the player should PSG sign more strikers to challenge Edinson Cavani, as reported by the Bleacher Report.

Augustin has made just one Ligue 1 start under Unai Emery this term and it is expected that he will consider exiting PSG especially if they sign additional strikers.

It was reported that there were Ligue 1 teams interested in keeping Augustin in France which would mean that Spurs may face competition for the player. In addition to this German club Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested.

With Harry Kane currently the main forward at Tottenham, Pochettino may be looking for reinforcements. However Augustin also needs to be weary of swapping one bench for another.

It is definitely likely that he will leave during the summer as he does not look to be part of Emery’s future plans. The move will likely be to a club that can offer him regular first team opportunities.
