According to Daily Mirror, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku are on a Chelsea shortlist to replace the unsettled Diego Costa. Costa has been at the center of media reports after an apparent feud which coach Antonio Conte, which led to him being axed from the Chelsea squad that defeated champions Leicester City 3-0 on Saturday.
The cause of the argument is believed to be a transfer to China which is said to be worth £80 million.
Though Costa is unlikely to leave in the current transfer window, the probability of him leaving during the summer is high, so much so that Chelsea have already drawn up a shortlist of replacements to replace him should he leave.
The list includes Alexis Sanchez who has yet to sign a contract extension at Arsenal, as well as Everton’s Romelu Lukaku. Another name said to be on the shortlist is Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.
Though Costa is reported to have returned to training for Chelsea on Tuesday, he is still said to want to leave the club.
