According to Sky sources, Chelsea have approached Middlesbrough over the availability of winger Adama Traore. Traore joined Middlesbrough on the final day of the summer transfer window and is said to have impressed Chelsea boss Antonio Conte because of his pace.
The 20 year old who began his career with Barcelona failed to be a sensation this term at Teeside, making 14 appearances in the Premier league. He has failed to cement a regular starting place in the team.
While he has looked threatening for Boro at times, he has failed to score a goal or record an assist for the club. A move to Chelsea could help escalate the career of Traore as he will be playing alongside a better crop of players which will help him grow as an individual.
It will definitely be a tough task to break into the first team, however he will be likely to be handed opportunities to impress and Conte is a manger with a reputation of bringing the best out of players.
