Report: Everton Transfer Boost, Target’s Contract Not Renewed Yet

According to the Daily Star, Bournemouth man Jack Wilshere has not been afforded any time of day from Arsenal.  The Englishman, who is still just 25 years old, was sent to Bournemouth this season to regain his form and fitness.  He’s seemingly done both, but apparently it’s not been enough.

The Daily Star reckons that Wilshere’s future is now in serious doubt at Arsenal as other players in his position have already signed new deals to extend their stay at the club.  Those players, like Wilshere, only had 18 months remaining on their contracts, so it’s thought that he may be done with the Gunners.

This would be great news for Everton as they could really use someone of his quality in the midfield.  With the very recent purchase of Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United, they could have a great central midfield pairing for years to come.  The likelihood is looking more and more that Wilshere won’t be a Gunner for much longer, but where he lands is truly an unknown at this moment.
