Championship side Aston Villa have been linked with a huge number of players in the ongoing transfer window and, now, a new name has been added to the ever-increasing list. The Midlands club are contemplating an offer for talented Barnsley right-back James Bree, according to the latest report.
The Sun claims that Villa manager Steve Bruce highly rates the 19-year-old and is prepared to make an offer of £4m for the services of the teenager.
The report also claims that Bruce watched over the youngster during the Barnsley’s FA Cup tie against Blackpool on Saturday.
The young right-back, who is a product of Barnsley’s youth academy, has witnessed a meteoric rise in his stature this season and has already made 17 league appearances for the Tykes.
His performances have also caught attentions of a number of Premier League clubs. However, Villa are currently leading the pursuit to secure his services this month.
