Championship club Aston Villa have been linked with an interest in Leicester City wide man Jeffrey Schlupp. Birmingham Mail claims that Villa are one of the clubs interested in the Ghana international, but they are likely to lose out in their pursuit to Premier League club West Brom, who are currently favourites to land the player.
Crystal Palace are another side that are reportedly interested in the player.
The Baggies reportedly tried to sign the player during the summer, but their reported offer of £12 million was turned down by the champions.
The 24-year-old was a part of the Foxes’ league-winning campaign last season and managed 24 league appearances.
However, this season, he has fallen out-of-favour under manager Claudio Ranieri and has only managed 139 minutes of league football.
Schlupp’s current deal with the Foxes runs until 2019, and according to the report, the Foxes are prepared to offload the player during January.
